Parking, walking and the dock door
Come in through the dock — the old office door on the street has been sealed since before we bought the place and half the town still tries it first.
There is parking on the apron where the trucks used to turn, and more of it in the street after six. Neither costs anything.
It is a fifteen-minute walk from the lake and about ten from the middle of town, flat the whole way.

Free parking on the truck apron, right at the door.
Walking
Fifteen minutes from Victoria Park Lake.
Getting home
We ring for a car from the bar phone, any time we are open.

Is there a deposit?
Never. A name in pencil is the whole system.
Can I book a card table?
Three of the eight, for groups of up to six.
Big groups?
Up to eighteen with a fortnight's notice and a set board.
